Hey lovelies! ♥
I know it might come off as odd but I’ve decided to post about my Seoul trip back in November 2016 after scrolling through my Insta feed of Seoul pictures #TiffanyHxKorea! Mainly because I’ve planned meticulously for months and I thought it would be a waste not to share it with my readers. Since this was a trip back in year 2016, I will try my best to omit places that have already closed down in the recent years :p
Audit has really taken a toll on me (mentally and physically) and I miss doing things that I love before I started working back in Jan 2017!
This plan served as my rough guide before I embark on my trip each day, and the meal expenditure is actually for 5 pax 🙂
Day 2 is to Ewha Women’s University Street & Hongdae Street!
This was my favourite place to shop for clothes but I didn’t buy much clothes during this period as their apparel are more towards autumn wear. Not the best thing to wear in our Malaysia weather :p Clothes prices range from 5,000 won to 10,000 won (around RM20 – RM 40).
OOTD taken at the rooftop of our accommodation (Creto Hotel in Myeongdong) 🙂 Trying to blend in by dressing by the Korean university student look :p
LINE STORE at Myeongdong
T CARDS with Line and Kakao Characters during end of 2016!
We went to Andong Jjimdak in Myeongdong for breakfast!
It’s a dish with braised chicken, flat glass noodles and vegetables in sweet and spicy soy sauce. If you’re unsure of how big of portion to order, you may ask the waiter to recommend the portion for the no. of pax. The waiter naturally assumed that we wanted 2 plates but we got 1 plate only as it was too early in the morning to eat heavy-portioned meals.
Took the train to Ewha!
Streets of Ewha lined with ginkgo trees! I love the autumn colours :3
Gyeran bbang (egg bread)
My all-time favourite Korean street snack – Ddukbokki! One bowl for 3,000 won (aprx RM11)
Socks at 1,000 won per pair (RM3.80 at that time). I spot Jonghyun’s socks T_T
The iconic library of Ewha Women’s University. The walls on the sides are actually a library and cafe!
I think I may have twisted my ankle here XD
One last shot at the entrance of Ewha Women’s University!
After that, we took train to Hongik University stop and exit through Exit 6. Walk straight for about 100m and turn left to Florte Flower Cafe on Sinchon-ro 6 road! It’s a flower-themed cafe! FYI this place still exists, I just checked the Insta location tag :3
We went at around tea time but was still on waiting list for about 30 minutes. Note that there is also a minimum drink order per pax, but that will be easy to fulfill as all their drinks and cakes are so Insta-worthy!
They provide flower crowns as selfie props too!
I also saw a waiter that looks like Lee Jong Suk oppa! I told him that and he just blushed and said thanks. I bet he must have got that compliment 3583417 times since the day he started working there.
The only place where you get Spring in Autumn!
After tea time, we walked towards Hongik University streets/ Hongdae area to shop and watch some up-and-coming youngsters busking.
CHUU is famed for their skinny jeans!
Stylenanda Flagship store! :O
After sunset in Hongdae. Shops selling winter coats as the weather is inching towards minus degree temperature!
Hustling and bustling!
As it was time for dinner, we head back to Loco Quan 401 (BBQ place owned by HAHA) in Myeongdong. There is one branch in Hongdae (HQ) too but my family wanted to head back Myeongdong early to do our make up and skincare shopping instead of wandering in Hongdae. The branch in Myeongdong is located in a building called Champion on the 8th floor.
Pork belly was thick and has the right amount of meat and fat! Yummmmm! Surprisingly, the pork doesn’t smell too porky; unlike the pork dishes I had in Beijing, I couldn’t accept the heavy pork taste. Maybe it tastes different because of the pig’s feed.
The food was great, but I wouldn’t say the same for the price and service. The price is towards the higher-end $$$$ and staffs weren’t too friendly too but if you’re a huge RUNNING MAN/HAHA fan, then you may give it a try.
Time to shop!
My haul for the day! Bought souvenirs for my friends too!
Just a tip for those travelling in Korea: I used this app throughout the whole trip which was equivalent to Google Maps! The streets and places in the app are constantly updated! Not the most user-friendly app but it definitely helped me to get to places :p
Till next time (soon ;P)
xoxo
