How to: cook Original Italian Carbonara (No heavy cream)

Today I’m going to share with you my simple fool-proof way of cooking effortlessly delicious carbonara. 😍 This is the OG method of cooking carbonara with just three ingredients, no heavy cream or onions required!

This is a recipe for two persons but I use 3 pax spaghetti portion because I eat a lot…🥺🙊

Ingredients:

Prep time: 3 minutes; Cooking time: 15 mins

⁃ 3 pax spaghetti portion

⁃ 2 whole eggs

⁃ 100g or Half bowl of bacon (to your preference)

⁃ 80g or 5 spoons of Parmesan cheese

⁃ Salt

⁃ Pepper

⁃ Parsley (optional)

⁃ Olive oil (optional)

⁃ Mushrooms (optional)

Steps

1. Boil salt in pot of water and cook spaghetti according to instructions. Undercook by one minute and save one cup of pasta water.

2. Fry bacon without oil until it browns and is crispy. Save some fried bacon for garnishing. You may substitute bacon for mushroom or chicken slices instead.

3. Whisk eggs lightly. Stir cheese and pepper into the eggs mixture.

4. Pour the pasta into pan and stir with one cup of pasta water for the final one minute.

5. Off the heat and pour the pasta into the egg mixture and stir consistently until the pasta is well coated with the egg mixture.

6. Serve immediately with bacon garnish. ❤️
